Prepares design calculations following prescribed methods, procedures and software. Prepares and issues contract information (CI) sheets and/or BEDD Sheets based on calculations. Reviews drawings for compliance with CI and BEDD sheet requirements. Prepares technical specifications for purchased equipment. Coordinates and interfaces with equipment suppliers. Prepares technical evaluations of supplier's proposals. Works effectively and communicates with customers, other technical disciplines, and the organization's project management team. Provides training and assistance to less experienced engineers. May serve as the lead engineer on small, technically simple projects. Suggests product design and work process improvements, when necessary. Reviews work of less experienced engineers. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications: Excellent written and oral skills. Prioritizes and plans work activities; plans for additional resources. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Monitors own work to ensure quality while looking for ways to improve and promote quality. Able to work cooperatively within the organization, with vendors, and with customers. Able to perform routine work with minimal supervision.Should have a Bachelor's degree of Science in Engineering. Should possess well-developed knowledge of engineering principles and practices particularly in the area of offshore upstream oil and gas projects. Working knowledge of the organization's technology in general and comprehensive knowledge of Instrumentation design methods and practices in particular. 10+ years of related engineering experience.
